  The Voyager 1 spacecraft launched in 1977 was used to explore the Jupiter and Saturn systems and capture scientific data before venturing into deep space. (JPL, n.d.)  The Imaging Science Subsystem (ISS) was used to capture the Jupiter and Saturn systems. In terms of features, the system consists of two cameras, a 1500mm high-resolution narrow-angle f/8.5 camera and a 200mm lower resolution wide angle f/3 camera. (SETI, n.d.) As mentioned in the related webpage the high-resolution cameras allow scientific data collection such as atmospheric composition and colored imagery of the planets. The operations of the cameras are controlled by a spacecraft computer which communicates with earth’s computer systems. An introduction about myself

Dear Professor Blackstone, I am Oh Junkai, a Mechanical Design and Manufacturing student at Singapore Institute of Technology, holding a diploma in electronics with networking electives from Temasek Polytechnic. This diploma allows me to perform electrical work on-site, including electrical building infrastructures. I am also specialized in designing printed circuit boards (PCB) enabling me to work in a laboratory setting, the networking elective has also further enhanced my ability to work with networking systems such as routers or server systems setups. As for my communication strengths, I have gone through multiple internships that have helped me refine the way of how I should communicate with others in a professional setting, one important skill I learnt is giving a clear and concise expression while being confident in delivering the message. How important is communication skills?

It is one of the hardest goals to accomplish, to be able to boil down difficult concepts into a short and easily understood presentation or elevator pitch.” Marybeth Miceli, President, Miceli Infrastructure Consulting, USA (2011) My response: As quoted by Marybeth Miceli, concepts learned by engineers are hard to grasp and even harder to explain engineering concepts to a person who is not an engineer, it is easy for people to think that what we do is easy, but communication plays a key role in showcasing how valuable we are to society and how crucial is it for us, such as providing simplified explanations to extricate processes in companies or just simply give aspiring engineers a better opportunity to learn.
